‘Tis the season to be jolly
Living in Majorca seems like a dream: every day is sunny and bright, summers are hot, winters are mild (very mild!). (I'm da rhyme queen lol.) Holly jolliness all over. Yeah, well.
Actually, the one thing I miss most in my Mediterranean island dream life are seasons. I like spring and summer, but not the whole year round. I don't like spring in December - which is what last December in Majorca was like -. (And global warming is not helping the cause.)
Anyway. All this prelude is to say that I'm now back in Germany for a few weeks and I'm enjoying snow and wintertime like a five year old. -6°C? Yeaaah!!! Perfect temperature. And, honestly, everything dipped in snow looks just soo petty.
I'm lucky enough to live close to a forest (as opposed to Majorca, where I live a very urban life). And just look at this gorgeousness:
I don't know, there is just something about the woods that totally gets me. It is so humbling, so grounding.
The fields and the town on the horizon. Like, honestly, I can be such a a sucker for nature sometimes. And right now I'm a big sucker! (Yep, that sounded weird. But you get what I mean.)
