3 absolutely stunning organic make up brands

Organic make up sounds like ewww, baah, not-so-sexy? Sounds like lipsticks wrapped in recycled kraft paper, whose pigmentation is so poor it fades off with the first sip of water? These times are long gone, my friend. The new natural make up brands are minimal, sleek and totally chic. (Oh, this rhymes! And what rhymes is good!) These three ladies basically breathed fresh life into a beauty niche that was only interesting for make-up loving hippies, at best and for no one, at worst.

RMS BEAUTY

RMS BEAUTY

Make up artist Rose-Marie Swift founded RMS Beauty after experiencing severe health issues from the beauty products she used. Her body just couldn't take the toxic chemicals, any more. It is no secret that conventional cosmetics are made of ingredients that can be very harmful to your body. Check out Rose-Marie’s (beautifully designed) website www.beautytruth.com if you still believe that it ain’t that big of a deal. RMS make-up products are formulated with organic raw ingredients that not only do not damage your skin, but actually heal and nourish it.

ILIA BEAUTY

ILIA BEAUTY

You can tell founder Sasha Plavsic studied design and typography: all ILIA products have absolutely gorgeous packagings. (Made of recycled aluminum, which is more appealing that kraft paper, I guess.) The brand started off with lip products, but, meanwhile, widened its range considerably. All products are formulated with certified organic ingredients in their purest state. Our skin is our largest organ and it absorbs just anything we put on it. Put good stuff on it!

KJAER WEIS

KJAER WEIS

Kirsten Kjær Weis wanted to tackle the main problem of natural make-up: it just ain't as good as conventional make-up. It took her eight years to develop her line! (Texture and consistency changed from batch to batch, the color wasn't uniform, the journey was long.) Now, as for the presentation of the end result, oh dear, the packaging looks like a little jewellery case! - Refillable, of course.-
