Our goal in life is to get a better job, earn more money, buy more things, get a better car, a bigger home. Get a Porsche, get a Mercedes. Get something new. Otherwise, society will perceive you a as a failure. We're identified by what we own.
I used to be overwhelmed with choices. However, since I decided to live as sustainably as possible, my choices are very limited: "Hm, which chocolate should I go for?" Well, that one fair trade chocolate packaged in paper. Forget about the other 1745 types. So easy!
